Simple and useful app for tabata-style exercises. I say "tabata-style" because I use it mainly for isometric and resistance style exercises where I want to: 1. hold a fixed position for 10 (or more) seconds; 2. rest for 5 (or more) seconds; 3. repeat the above sequence 5 (or more) times; 4. have a longer rest (say 20 seconds) after the above "cycle"; 4. repeat the above "cycle" 3 (or more) times. And you have both a clear visual and audible countdown so you can concentrate on the exercise.

I have tried several timer apps, free and payed ones and this one is by far the best one. Everything is simple, clear and really easy to setup. The UI is really convenient, the size of the font and the colors allow the user to follow when the phone sits on the floor.

partly sux as when a beep is emitted it seems to override sounds from other sources decreasing the sound from the other source, e.g. Spotify, Soundcloud, without the volume returning to its previous level. Sux when in the middle of a set having to switch to the other source of sound and restart a track
