Been flipping through these one by one. I've got a rather small amount of coding experience and skills rn. So I don't know if this will always be my favorite but so many other services of this nature are just not enough. At the same time I'm four in. So maybe I'll find another but between two completely broken ones, one I hate, and another that just feels like I'm drowning in features that wants me to pay.

I don't use the compiler or debugger, but as purely a generic code editor this app is great. Obviously I can't type as fast as I can with a proper keyboard, but it's not as cripplingly slow as I would have expected. It dynamically remembers your keywords as you type so you can write in any language without needing to configure it i.e. Java, GDScript, etc. Importantly, the ads are placed intelligently. They never pop up while working on a file, only when switching or navigating the taskbar.

I spend at least 20 hours a month using Google Sheets with a lot of complex formulas on mobile devices, and editing them in the app itself would drive a saint crazy. You can only see about 30 characters at a time, the insertion point is hard to control, and you can't format at all. Matching parentheses is a nasty chore. Code Editor to the rescue! My very first try, with five levels of nesting: BYROW(LAMBDA(XLOOKUP(IFERROR(REGEXEXTRACT( … worked as pasted. Thank you, Developer!
